Child Safety Awareness Programme - 30th
October 2026
St. Anthony Church
School organised a Child Safety Awareness
Programme on 30th October 2026, following a
special nomination by the Education
Department. The primary objective of the
programme was to educate and empower
children about their rights, personal safety
and protection from all forms of abuse. It
aimed to help students identify unsafe
situations, understand the difference
between safe and unsafe touch, and develop
the confidence to speak up and seek help
whenever necessary.
The session was led by the Honourable Judge,
Mr. Satyanarayana, who sensitised students
about child protection and the importance of
personal safety, highlighting the role of
UNICEF in safeguarding children's rights.
Mr. Venkatesh, representative of the
Education Department, addressed the growing
concern of child abuse and highlighted the
risks associated with excessive mobile phone
usage. He also discussed the challenges
children face in today's digital
environment. The session was highly
informative and thought-provoking,
encouraging students to remain alert,
responsible and confident in protecting
themselves. It was a valuable initiative
towards creating greater awareness and
building a safe and child-friendly school
environment.
