The Pick and Speech Competition, held on June 28th, 2025, in
the school grounds, was a resounding success, providing a
valuable platform for high school students to enhance their
public speaking skills and boost their confidence in expressing
thoughts spontaneously. The event, which commenced at 10:00 AM
and concluded by 11:30 AM, saw enthusiastic participation from
students across all high school grades. Each participant was
given a topic on the spot, and after a brief moment to gather
their ideas, they showcased their ability to think quickly,
organize their thoughts, and present confidently before the
audience. The speakers' confidence, clarity, and originality
were truly impressive, demonstrating a remarkable level of skill
and poise.
Rev. Fr. Michael Abhilash, and Miss Amreen Banu, the esteemed
judges, was impressed by the students' performances and offered
encouraging feedback to help them improve further. His
insightful comments and suggestions provided valuable guidance,
enabling the students to refine their communication skills and
become more effective public speakers. The competition not only
helped students overcome stage fear but also instilled in them a
sense of confidence and self-assurance, essential qualities for
future leaders. By providing a platform for students to express
themselves freely and creatively, the event fostered a sense of
camaraderie and teamwork, promoting a positive and supportive
learning environment. Overall, the Pick and Speech Competition
was a beneficial experience for all participants, and its impact
