On World Environment Day, our high school students showcased
their creativity and awareness through an impressive skit. The
performance highlighted critical environmental issues, including
the dangers of burning plastic, which releases toxic gases like
dioxins and furans, polluting the air and harming human health.
The skit also demonstrated the problems associated with burying
plastic, which doesn't decompose easily and contaminates soil
and water sources, as well as throwing plastic into water, which
pollutes drinking water sources.
The students' thought-provoking performance served as a powerful
reminder of the importance of protecting our environment and the
need for sustainable practices. By highlighting the consequences
of plastic pollution, the skit aimed to inspire viewers to take
action and make a positive impact on the environment.
As part of the environmental awareness activity, students
designed educational flashcards and creative posters
highlighting key environmental topics. These visual aids aimed
to promote awareness and inspire action to protect the
environment. The flashcards and posters covered various themes,
including the importance of reducing plastic use, conserving
natural resources, and protecting biodiversity.
