St. Anthony’s School celebrated the 78th Independence Day
with great honor and reverence. The event was graced by the
esteemed Smt. Matilda D’Souza, General Secretary of KPCC, as the
chief guest. Joining her on the dais were distinguished guests,
including Dr. Anthony Joseph, a corporate strategist from the
Lion’s Club, Bangalore; Sr. Agnes, the Superior of St. Anthony’s
Convent; Fr. Vijay, the School Manager; Fr. Richard, the
Principal; Fr. Anil D’Costa, the Vice-Principal; Fr. Lourd Swamy;
and Mrs. Rosy Sagaya Mary, the Headmistress of the Kannada
Medium School.
The program commenced with a ceremonial march past, followed by
the flag hoisting, which was a moment of immense pride for all
present. Smt. Matilda D’Souza and Fr. Vijay delivered inspiring
speeches, highlighting the significance of this historic day.
The celebration also featured vibrant cultural performances,
with students from grades 5, 6, and 7 captivating the audience
with patriotic dances. A few parents and parishioners attended
the school's great event. The high school students participated
in a march to Chandra Layout, where they attended a
flag-hoisting ceremony led by MLA Priya Krishna.
