‘World
Environment Day’ - Celebrated at St.Anthony’s Church School,
Gangondanahalli.
“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will
never fail you.” –Frank Lloyd Wright
'Let us give our coming generations a healthier and happier
environment to have a beautiful life…', keeping the above
intention in mind, ‘The World Environment Day’ was celebrated at
St.Anthony’s School with grandeur and circumstance. Many
students came to school dressed in green to commemorate the
Earth Day. Symbolically, the new teachers who joined the school
this year planted a sapling to celebrate the occasion. To
instill awareness and the responsibility to protect the earth,
sixty indoor plants were planted in pots and placed on a
pedestal. Each class is tasked with caring after a specific pot.
The Principal, Fr. Richard, highlighted the significance of the
day. Various events on the environmental subject were organized
to supplement the occasion, such as a fancy dress competition,
an essay competition, a collage creation, and a pluck card
competition. With these convictions and motivations, the
children are prepared for a global mission to revive our
environment and are ready to work toward its restoration.
